CAST v76 private beta tester packet

CAST is a private local-first strategy room for hard decisions. This beta is for controlled testers only. Do not repost the APK or model link publicly.

Current build: CAST `0.1.76` / versionCode `76`. Feedback is user-controlled. No silent upload.
Android lane: Download APK iPhone lane (non-APK)

Install

  1. Download the approved CAST v76 APK from the live beta link.
  2. If Android blocks the install, allow installs from Chrome or My Files.
  3. If Android says `App not installed`, uninstall old CAST and install again.
  4. Open CAST and verify the beta account by email.
  5. Complete personalization and consent setup.

iPhone/iPad users: do not use this section. Go to the iPhone beta lane for the non-APK path.

Model setup

CAST v76 expects the small default LiteRT-LM file:

  1. Use CAST's Model setup screen and tap Install local model while on Wi-Fi.
  2. Android manages the large model download so it can keep moving if the screen sleeps; reopen CAST and tap model setup again to finish verification.
  3. If support asks you to use a local file, tap Advanced: import model and choose it from Android's picker.
  4. Supported public-beta import: gemma3-1b-it-int4.litertlm. Stronger model imports are disabled until Cast publishes exact hashes and device gates.
  5. Do not use random model files, partial downloads, web builds, or old .task files.
  6. Send one short test problem.

Use a real but safe situation. CAST works best when you give decision, constraint, stakes, and desired outcome.

Open Tools > Send Feedback. Tell us what worked, what should improve, and what you were trying to solve. You choose whether to include the current room excerpt and support state.

Open Tools > Export Brief when you want a PDF, text file, or copyable packet for another model.

Known limits

  • Hosted login requires the Cast identity Worker, D1 database, and email provider to be configured.
  • The default model downloads from the Model setup screen; manual import is a fallback.
  • Watch, PC companion, and off-network Stella are not required for this beta.
